Contact Info on Emails - Don't Make People Hunt You Down

In order to grow your business it's imperative that people be able to contact you, easily.

If you make them jump through hoops just to reach you, they may not stick around long enough to buy something (or answer your email, or help you with your problem).

I've said it before and it bears repeating: Put complete contact info on everything. Otherwise, you're just sabotaging yourself.

Really, I hear from clients all the time that they're pulling their hair out with frustration because people forget to include their phone numbers, website url, email address, twitter link, or facebook link in their emails. They really don't have time to track down every peson that emails and asks a question. The people that get answers are the ones who put their contact info in their emails. The others? No so much.

Soooo....For emails, that means a signature block at the bottom. Your email software can put it there for you automatically every time you write an email if you set it up. Check your Help menu in Outlook, Mail, Google Mail, or whatever you use to send email.

Here's a sample signature block for an email:

You get the idea. Include info that's relevant for you and give people different ways to contact you. You'll be amazed at how much more responsive they are!

All my best to you and yours!
