My Secret Weapon: Cheat Sheets and A Calendar

I'm here to help you develop your business by taking over projects and ongoing administrative, marketing and web tasks that are weighing you down, blurring your vision, and holding you back. It's all those things you're now doing yourself (or that just aren't getting done) that are keeping you from those projects, ideas and inspirations you've been yearning to get going on, that you know are critical to growing your life and your business.
I LOVE to create simple ways to do business effectively. Here's one of my secrets: "Cheat Sheets and a Calendar."
Cheat Sheets: These are notes and lists of things I need to do for myself and the people I work with. All those things I do over and over, or even once a year. It's easy to forget in-between times.
You can use cheat sheets too. For example, I work with an artist who kept forgetting how to email her digital photos to me using her camera's software. She prefers pen and ink to computers, so I suggested that she write out a "cheat sheet" for herself and keep it in a notebook by her computer. She made one, and for some other things she does repeatedly, and it has smoothed out some of the bumps in her day that she found stressful and frustrating.
I work paperless mostly, and so my cheat sheets are stored on my computer and in an online system I use called Basecamp. But you do it any way that works for you.
Calendar: Super important! All those notes and lists do me no good if I forget to DO the things that need doing, and at the right times. You can use a printed calendar, the calendar on your computer, Google Calendar, or any type of calendar you like. I like computerized calendars because I can set reminders.
After I write up my cheat sheet, I make a note on my calendar for that task (and beyond if it's recurring). I tell it to send me a reminder, then I can forget about it until it's time or until I need to refer to a cheat sheet for something!
Here's another secret: Look through this blog a TON of useful tips and info and please do try out the Search box at the lower right. It's wonderful! For example, want tips on marketing? Type the word "marketing" into the search box and it'll give you a list of articles to read on that subject.

All my best to you and yours!
