Before You Yell at Someone, Check Your Spam Folder
Here's a good tip from a client of mine. She called to vent (and to suggest that I do a blog entry about this topic): She said, "I just got off the phone, AGAIN, with someone who yelled at me because they didn't get my email. I asked them to check their spam folder like I always do and sure enough, it was there."
She's right, it's epidemic, and I don't blame her for spending far too much of her day explaining to peole that email is iffy at best these days. Seems like everyone, every ISP, and every company, has their spam filter set to kill. Not that I blame them, I'm pretty sick of all the junk mail too. But please, before you yell at someone that you didn't get your email, check your spam or junk folder. You might even find a button to click to let your email software know that it's "Not Junk." Then in the future you should get that person's mail and you'll have to find something else to yell about.
